I understand that the process is free, making the book. But what exactly do I pay for? I know the proof copy but what else? I reading the other post under knowledge bases but I still don't understand.
If you do all the work then all you pay for is a proof. If it turns out the way you want and doesn't need revising then that's it. There are "paid" services that lulu provides but aren't required. Only if you want to pay them to edit , format, or make a cover for your books. Those are paid services but you don't have to do it. So if you're happy doing it all yourself, pay for a proof and that's it.
What don't you understand - how to make a book or what you need to pay for? The proof copy is the only thing you need to pay for. Sounds amazing, but it's true.
If you don't understand how to make a book you could try rereading the articles in the knowledge base, as everything you need to know is in there, or you could pay Lulu to do it for you.
ahh okay thanks. I get it now. how do I find out how much the proof copy is?
Go to lulu.com/create/books
You can pick your options for the book and enter an approximate page count to see about how much the book will cost. Shipping isn't included in this amount, so you'll want to plan on a little more than the price shown for shipping.
