Writer Bio on the back cover

Hi, I've noticed this on some books, seems like a way to save a page and fill out the back cover. Does any one have opinions or pros and cons?

Some do do that, but I prefer to see a description of the contents on the back cover. Some do both. But almost always a description is on the back cover, not often inside, whereas a bio can be inside, and it's one way of getting the page count to = 4 as it has to do. It's not a case of just doing it to fill out a back cover. They should always have something on them. It's part of the cover.  :)
