So many files?

I just wondered why the book creation wizard (paperbacks) creates so many files. I upload a single text file in PDF and yet I end up with three files in my list. I upload a cover file in JPEG and I get three or four files in my list. In all cases the files are, to all intents and purposes, identical. I often worry that the printer will use  a previous file after I edit a book, because there are so many to choose from in my list. Any reason for so many copies of seemingly the same file?

    How many files did you upload? If you revise a file first delete the one

    in your project (click the red X) before uploading the revised one.

    I upload just two files each time I publish One text file and one full sized cover file and yes, I do delete the previous file, but I still end up with three and sometimed four files of each one I uploaded. Just wondered why that was happening.

    As you are deleting your old files, you will need to contact support;

    I've not experienced this before.
