Big difference in size = artwork quandry

I've just received a second printed copy of my latest book and it is fully 8mm narrower than the first copy I ordered. The spine artwork is correctly positioned and I've kept well clear of the trim zone but 8mm has been trimmed off the righthand edge (when looking at the front cover). As a result a rectangle containing blurb on the back cover appears badly off-centre (see photo) and the outer margins are much narrower than they should be. The title is also off-centre but  that is much less noticable than problem with the back cover.

My question is: what can I do to obviate this problem as I need to order a quantity for a customer? If I move parts of the design towards the spine and the order is printed as per the original book it will end up off-centre in the opposite direction.
