Your book is a manuscript. The body of your text can be handwritten. You'll have to scan each page, and embed it in your book as a picture.
Perhaps the title and copyright page should be typed.
One option, as Potetjp suggested, is to scan each page and insert it as a picture.
You should, however, be able to scan each page and convert that scanned image to PDF format. That would create a "page", without treating each page as a photo (which, ultimately, will be converted to PDF anyway).
Do take in to consideration that it has to be readable though. Why does it have to be in handwriting?

Well, if I slice the spine off I can scan one in a few mins.

If you plan to have an index generated by your wordprocessor, I'd advise you to type the keywords of a given page at the top, above the scan of the text. I did that for a correspondence, and it proved very useful.
