I've tried to embed the code from Youtube, but Lulu is not accepting it.
Perhaps youtube have upgraded their code, and Lulu needs to upgrade theirs?
Try removing the s from the https.
text looks like this:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/5C6R2DB4y18" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
or the youtube http address is this:
oh, i've just come across this old code option which i have tried, and does not work:
<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/5C6R2DB4y18?hl=en_US&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/5C6R2DB4y18?hl=en_US&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
If you look at the code you are using, where it says "value" and "embed src" and it has the URL for the videos, it is "//www.youtube.com" but it needs to be "http://www.youtube.com". The spotlight isn't accepting it as a valid code without the http://.
I added the prefix to the URL and your video is now embedded on your spotlight page.
I will update the knowledge base article to include this step.
Hi, I used to have the same issue with the embedding of the YouTube video code. I followed the instructions and added the prefix http:// yet still I'm getting the message that the code is not supported. How do I proceed?
The embedded code I inserted is this:
<iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/CjRhYRMDQc0?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Mate, try using this online code generator. You just have to copy and paste the video url. It worked for me. http://www.gorissen.info/Pierre/files/YouTube_code.htm
Thanks, that worked!
