I have just sent a copy of one of my books to a total stranger who allowed me to use images from her website. It would have been a bonus for me to have included a 'dear Maggie, thanks for your images, here is a copy of the book in appreciation...' note. You can send prsonal messages with other gifts purchased online, so if Lulu does not have this provision, is it something that can be implemented without too much fuss? I recently sent a book by request to a film-maker. It would have been much more professional to have included a note inside the Lulu parcel, rather than an email to say it was on the way.
Lulu is a self-publishing site, not a gift site. What you suggest sounds simple but is not.
Most people's way around it is to have the book sent to themselves, then they can add what they like to the package, and mail it on. There are many other ways you can contact people to thank them also.
Well you can already do that with the Thank You message.
You may like to customise it for each shipment.
I think the poster wishes to be a bit more personal? A bunch of thankyou flowers perhaps? ![]()
