Since there is no way to search the forums I had to make this a new post.
I have had my e-book has been rejected twice due to "There's a subtitle on your cover that needs to be added to your metadata."
The first time I added what I thought was metadata. There is no mention of metadata in any of the publishing guides so I don't know how to resolve this.
What is metadata and how do I resolve this?

Thanks Ken and yes to them all..I'm at a loss because I can't find what Lulu means by metadata. If there was clear definition it would be easy to fix. Thanks again.

When I looked at the content.opf file all the metadata was correct

When you started your project, did you enter your title, including the subtitle in the format displayed below? The title and subtitle must be separated by a colon. The title entered in this field is part of the Metadata and must match the title entered in your book.
Also, to search the forums, simply enter the search crtiteria in the search window at the top of the page. To narrow the search results, navigate a specific forum before initiating the search.

Thanks Glenn! This was perfect. I was looking for a separate box "subtitle" This help tremendously!

No problem - title and subtitle formatting are among the top 10 reasons an upload fails. We are working on clarifying this process. Until then, best of luck!
