Yes, apparently another post about InDesign and errors. Sorry.
I've read lots of threads but none that had the specific answers that I could find.I'm using InDesign CS5.5. I've already successfully created a mobi file and uploaded at the Amazon store - live and ready to buy. I'd like to get this version up and running and ready to sell ASAP.
After attempting to upload, I get the same errors that others here receive:
The exact same file is validated through the ThreePress validation tool. I would get Lionel K. Andersons' book: EPUBS for Lulu: A (Idiots) Guide to Creating EPUBs - if I KNEW that it had specific fixes for these problems. If it does, let me know and I WILL buy it. I just don't want to spend money if it doesn't have those answers. ![]()
Hopefully we can get this resolved soon.
Thanks!

Ordered! Thanks.
I'll go through it this later today and hopefully can get this resolved today. My ePub is somewhat large since it contains about 200 images - slightly over 8.5mb. So hopefully I won't have to send it to you. ![]()
Thanks Again!

Read through the PDF book. Cannot find any specific answers to my invalid ePub items.
Now that doesn't mean that the answers aren't IN the book, but I just can't find them. I also downloaded Flightcrew and it passed that one as well as ThreePress. Do all of these types of errors have completely different solutions or are the solutions similar in all ePubs? It would certainly be great if Lulu would have a section devoted to answering just these invalidations we receive. Unless of course there already is and am too dumb to see it - which is often the case.
What would be the next step? (Just sent you an email)

Wow Ken... thanks! I sincerely appreciate the help. I find it amazing that only ONE LINE of code prevented validation here at Lulu. Amazing. It's equally amazing that InDesign doesn't add that line. But then I guess that's why we need experts such as yourself on these forums! ![]()
Thanks again for your help - and writing that book to help step us through the process. My file is uploaded and validated and awaiting the next processing phase.

I am having the exact same errors, even though it passed ThreePress ePub check as well. What is the 1 line fix? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Dear Ken,
I see that I am not alone in my problems. I'm italian and I am trying to publish my husband photographic book (130 pages, of photos and teaching captions) a document created using INDESIGN CS5.5 ( 53,1 mega) which we have successfully pubblished in Italian (PDF) on Lulu.it.
And this is what we get once I try to submit the EPUB FILE for pubblication in English:
Oops! The EPUB FILE is not valid. Details:
The EPUB file presents the following problems that could compromise the accessibility to certain channels:
Knowing my limits , dear Ken, both technical and of language, I would love to buy your book, but I know that it will get me nowhere. Therefore, may I ask if you can edit it for me, and obviously I am reday to pay for your assistance. After having done all the work it is SUCH a frustration ! All the best and thanks in advance, Manuela
