Upload stops after only 15 seconds

Log off, close browser and try again.

I tried logging out and then logging back in again. I closed the browser and started again. Everytime I try to upload my file it stops at about 15 seconds and I get an error message about the network connection. Is there a some special setting I should change in order to get this to work? Thank you

Sounds like a corrupt file.

How do I fix the file if it is corrupted?

I don't have a crystal ball. You haven't told us anything about what you are trying to upload - just a file. What type of file? What does it contain? What size is it? How did you create it? Have you tried using FTP? Help us to help you by providing sufficient information.

I have a Microsoft Word doc that is 21,254 words long. I am using a Dell E520 computer with Vista as the OS. I have downloaded and uploaded lots of things and haven't had any problems. As you can probably tell Iam not a computer wiz and this is the first time I have tried to publish a book so I am in a large learning curve. Thanks

Have you tried an alternative browser? There are often browser-specific errors with certain online functions.

That was the problem. I changed my browser to Foxfire and was able to upload my file. Thank you for the help.
