I'm trying to make one of my paper Lulu books into an epub ebook, using Lulu's wizard. I've easily turned the contents of the book into an epub file. Nevertheless, the cover wizard for epub books does not seem to work. I try to use an image from my computer but when I click 'Accept' nothing happens. Then I've tried to use an image from Lulu's gallery, but, again, nothing happens when I click 'Accept'.
Has anybody suffered the same problem?

In the same section, the 'Text' tab lacks an 'Accept' button, so any changes cannot be registered.
In the 'Themes' tab, when I make a change and click 'Accept', a message pops up, saying 'Applying theme' but, again, nothing happens.
Has anybody been able to successfully make a cover with this wizard?

The Subject perhaps should be 'Design your marketing image' does not work for me"
I've made over 24 this week.
I suggest that first you try another browser.
Then step back in the publsihing wizard to square one and then move forward again.
I've just created another one without a problem.
Are you uploading a 96dpi 612x792 image?

Ken:
Maybe I should have said it does not work for me, but then it could be understod as me saying that I find the wizard unsuitable for a number of reasons and I just meant it physically does not work.
I'm using Internet Explorer 9, which must be the most-used browser in the world. I find it hard to believe that the wizard will not work because of that.
Anyway, I will try using another one and I'll let you know the results.
Thank you for your suggestion.

I've tried to use all kinds of images, including one with 96 dpi and 622x792 px.
I've also tried using the images from lulu's gallery (which should be optimized for this use), but I find the same problem: nothing happens when I press 'Accept'

Ken:
I've tried with Google Chrome and guess what? It works!
You're a genius.
Thank you very much for your help.

Oh Ken, here I go again. I did this at work and it seemed to work there but the ebook failed in distribution so I just deleted the whole darn thing (mistake)... I really would like to do this at home today.
Ok, this is what I am trying (once again). I have an "image" of my paperback in MyPictures. I am trying to get it to be the Marketing Image for my eBook (don't laugh, I'm trying this yet again but feel empowered with your great new book). The image is 612px x 792px and the resolution is 72dpi.
1. I make sure to uncheck Show Title and Show Author.
2. I click image and select Use A Different Image.
3. I go to MyPictures and get the jpg of my bookcover mentioned above.
4. It uploads and shows that nice cover I created and I click Accept AND nothing happens. It just does not change.
Please Ken, what am I doing wrong?? Can I truely be this much of a dope?
As always, thanks!!
Patti

Never mind... I just didn't understand what you meant in your solution of using a different browser. But I'm learning, unfortunately baby steps. So I did find that Google Chrome and realized I could use that. Guess what Ken - It worked!
You are a genius. I just need to slow down and read everything you post when I have a problem and JUST FOLLOW along.
Again, THANK YOU!
