I think it would be beneficial to allow authors to make more than one listing of "their" books, that allows them to be sorted into genres or by series or by pen name or whatever the author wishes.

I've written one of my books under a pen name, and some of my other books are compiled from public domain materials... so my "Author Spotlight" actually shows 4 different named authors, and when one visits my book pages through the "More By [Author]" function it often shows books that are by someone else than the one on the original page. I can imagine others must have this same problem.

Also, some folks might have books written in multiple genres that they don't want appearing alongside each other (for example, if one wrote both children's books and sleazy romances; or cookbooks and conspiracy theories; or any other pairings that could potentially be off-putting to readers if they make the connection that the author is the same. Right now the "More by [Author]" window would start showing them together as recommendations.)

Right now, if someone wrote "Little Foo-Bunny's Magic Winter" under the pen name Sally Lee, and another book called "Esmerelda and the 47 Perverted Pirates" as Mathilde Mathers, they'd not only appear together in the same Author's Spotlight but also be recommended to the people viewing the other book. This can be a problem.

I wanted to put my $.02 again.  I am still very unhappy with the new author's spotlight.  It can't be customized enough.

I think it will confuse my customers and I'm hoping they won't go elsewhere out of frustration.  I have not sold 1 Lulu product since the author's spotlight went live!

Previously I had my Lulu page set up to look like my website.  It had similar colors, fonts, and ordering of products.  Now it is totally different.

Ideally I suggest we be allowed to do the following customizations:

  1. Add our own custom banner
  2. Set the order of our product displays
  3. Choose fonts and colors
