WE WANT COMPLETLY FREE COPIES OF OUR BOOKS!

I have been thinking lately, and I realized the lulu.com should mail you a free copy of your book and have it printed right away when published. What I was thinking was that we would not have to pay the price of shipping nor printing. I mean, we took the hard work of writing the book, why shouldn't we be able to have it for no cost at all stocked on our shelves?

Er.... Lulu is a BUSINESS.

Lulu has to make money or there will be NO Lulu and nowhere to publish our books.

Not a good idea at all!

That would be a good idea if practical but that is not the case. As Norriemac says, Lulu needs to make money to keep going. Sure you had all the hard work of researching and writing but Lulu had the harder, and riskier job of setting up the company, the website, the programmes etc etc. I think in the bigger picture we get a good deal.

Hard work?. But nobody asked you to write a book!

I get what you are saying. We should get just one copy of our book for free, you are not asking for a full stock of your books, just a single copy to have to see if everything works out fine. and then if you need to make any adjustment you can do so before posting your book worldwide, instead of having to pay out of pocket to publish just one.

Why should you have anything for free? What have you done to benefit anyone else? Do you live in the real world? Are you over the age of 5? Have you ever had anything for free? Are you a total idiot??

OK, LOOK! I TOOK THE HARD WORK TO WRITE MY BOOKS FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS -PEOPLE THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA -IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO WRITE THESE BOOKS -PEOPLE ASKED ME TO -I NEED MORE BUSINESS FOR MY COMPANY YOU PEOPLE WHO DOWNGRADED MY POST, THIS DON'T YOU WANT SOMETHING YOU WORKED SO HARD ON FOR FREE? ISNT THE WORK I PUT OFF ON THIS BOOK ENOUGH? I DESERVE A FREE COPY!

If you think you deserve a free copy - then you provide the paper ink printing equipment etc to produce the book - If Lulu gave away a free copy of all the books that someone does through their website - they would lose money in the long run.

What you are asking for is unreasonable and impractical. You are asking someone to make a material and financial investment to give you something you think you deserve.

Getting the book at cost is exactly what you deserve - not a freebie. Want a free copy of your book - print it yourself.
