Cost of books for authors.

I have seen your 10% mystery deal.  I am sorry to have to tell you that even discounted, you are far too expensive.  You really must do something about your pricing policy.  I can't afford to buy them from you!!  A discount of 25% would be nearer the mark.

You might not believe it but I can import from US via Creatspace much cheaper than from you in the UK!!!

But Lulu are not in the UK, and don't Createspace put the books on to Amazon?

For UK authors, Lulu ship from within the UK , from  Birch Close, Eastbourne, East Sussex, Southern England.  I could drive there!!  Delivery is usually 4/5 days.  I can import Createspace from USA, 3/4 weeks delivery, but  they are cheaper.  This is  so disappointing!!

Well just don't use Lulu. Thousands do without whingeing.

Places have their rules. It is not you actually ordering from the printers, Lulu is, so you cannot go and get it.

It reminds me of a car radio I bought from a supermarket. It broke and the shop did the usual thing >> send it back to the place they got it from (thankfully not China). I noted the importer's address and it was a mile away, so I rang them to say I would be dropping it off. They replied I would never get passed the gate guard, so post it. It cost £9 to post 1 mile. They returned a new unit, but not the £9 which they should have done. I kept ringing them to tell them the law, and was told "we will get back to you". They never did.

Anyway, that's stupid rules for you, and even valid rules ignored!
