Confining sales

Status: New Idea!

Hi guys. I've just produced a small book dealing with a subject that may or may not be construed as defamatory even though the main character is dead and legally you cannot defame a dead person. But to avoid needless pain to relatives and friends of this person I have restricted the sales of the book to private. My suggestion , or question is: make the book available outside the country, ie with a Lulu tag such as 'until further notice this book cannot be published in Australia...' It would mean sales would only be available to countries outside the designated confined area.

That sounds impossible, especially if the book as an ISBN. Just set your Spotlight to Direct Access; do not use an ISBN; only people who you want to see the book can be directed to the Spotlight.

But if you are worrying about upsetting people, why publish it in the first place?

Only a suggestion. Obviously not possible. I have re-published with fictional names etc. A good exercise in encouraging people to contact reliable authors to offload their secrets where they have no confidence in officialdom. Thanks for your observations.
