I'm trying to make a book for my daughter which is mostly text, but a few photos of when she was young. Instead of printing the whole thing on color pages, I'd love to be able to save money by printing the text on black and white pages and then have a section in the middle that are in color. I've seen this in books before and would really like to be able to do this myself!
I'm afraid that a book has to be either a colour book or a B/W book.
If any part of the content is colour then you must choose and pay for a colour book.
This has always been the case and is unlikely to change in the near future due to the constraints of the Print On Demand (POD) machines and processes.
That's odd. Here in little Sweden there is a Print On Demand- firm that prints books with both black-and- white a n d colour pictures in the same book, and at a price that is quite a lot lower than that of Lulu.
