Author Spotlight

Please make it possible to for us sort the books on display in our new Author's Spotlight book store individually.

I have many books, of different importance in my eyes, and I want to sort them as I see fit, as I did before in the Storefront model.

Might I recommend that LuLu redirects the old store URL to the new "Spotlight" page if this is not being done already?  My recently published book was not a project I did for profit but there was considerable marketing done listing the old store URL.  I also included this old URL inside the book directing purchasers to Lulu.

Thanks for the new design.  It is an improvement and should do much better with the online marketing.

Agree...I would like to be able to sort my book content as well. I have the same problem that you have in that I can no longer put the important books on top. They are now all mixed in strangely and it would be great if Lulu would change that.

Siegrist...Yikes! I thought the URL would be the same. It looks like we're all going to have some work to do to get things changed. Oh my...this could be trouble for so many people.

Yes there is a lot of discussion about the new Author Spotlight. Some I agree with, some not.

The actual name, Author Spotlight, I kind of like!! It has a sweet sort of positive-marketing connotation. (Kind of like, we are all in the spotlight; everyone is special here, at Lulu.)

I agree with others that some more elements would be welcome. Photos, I would love to be able to add those. Also, text blocks. And, perhaps, some more design options, with color?!  I did so love my old storefront, worked very hard on that. It looked so nice that sometimes, I favored it over my website. Now, I tend to send folks more to my own pages.

If the Lulu team changed the storefront concept for a more uniform, professional look, (kind of like Amazon or Facebook), I can kind of understand that... But the one thing I cannot do without, as this poster suggests is...

I NEED TO BE ABLE TO TAILOR MY OWN SORT ORDER!!

None of the options currently serve me. One of my books is a sequel to another, and none of the sort orders capture that. Also sometimes, I may want to feature my third one first as that one has the loveliest cover. But as it is, I think the new scheme of things could actually negatively affect any potential sales.

Can Lulu change at least this please?! Thank you!!

Hi there, thanks for your suggestion. This is certainly a great idea, and one we've heard from other Lulu authors before. We'll definitely consider it for the future. Thanks for using Lulu!
