hi(:
i'm making a book with photos and some text for a school project. i have some spreads which need to be next to each other.
my question is-- should there be one blank page before the first full 2 page spread (even though there won't be anything there)? do i need to add this or will lulu do it for me?
in other words: should i have an extra blank page to be the page opposite of the inside of the cover?
thanks, sorry if it was confusing!

It depends to some extent upon which program your are using.
If you are using MS Word then the first page will be a page on the right as you open the open.
Pages 2 & 3, 4 & 5, ........... 98 & 99 will the left and right pages of spreads.
You must create single pages, not try to create a two page page on a single page.
The PDF must also be single pages.

A printed book I will assume.
First of all, you will usually need a blank page, so that will be opposite the inside front cover. Then a Title Page on the right, then a Copyright page over from that.
If you want 2-page spreads, as Ken says, you have to create two individual pages, not two joined together, so I assume you will have to use Full-bleed.
