Images came out too bright & everything got cut wrong (despite proper bleeds).

I'm actually having a similar problem.  My dark greys are printing solid black - but not all the time.  It varies from book to book, as do some of the margins  I'm calling them today after dealing with this for the past 2 months.  Yes, it's been two months that I've been emailing them and talking to them in chat.  It's always several days between emails and I'm just tired of it all.  I have revised my images as they requested and done everything to the "T" and it still doesn't print consistently.  I think this is a problem with LuLu's printing - not your images.

There is indeed a problem with the QC of some of Lulu's printers, and it is not always the same printers that print the books, which adds even more problems.

Finally got it to look right. It looks really good, actually. what really did the trick for me was printing a short book with all the troublesome pages in different formats and sizes and whatnot, like Ken Anderson suggested here. Out of that I could tell what I was doing right and what was never going to work. Really effecient. Thanks for this, Ken - that was great advise!
