First time publisher with basic queries

Hi guys, I am a new publisher here and I am about to publish my first book. I have a few questions. If you can answer them there is nothing like it; but if not, please guide me where I will get these answers. 1. Do I have to create the copyright page myself or Lulu will do that for me? I have already created one. 2. I have multiple files as the manuscript to upload to Lulu to get them collated in one single file. Is this possible? If yes, do I have to follow some guidelines like uploading them in order? 3. I have an ISBN Code for my book already. How do I use it? 4. What type of files can I upload for the manuscript? Can I upload in PDF, PPTx or Docx format or is it only a Doc file that is accepted? 5. Is there anyone who has created lots of books here and can suggest me a size and binding that I need to choose? I am trying to get a paperback book of about 200 pages that can be printed and sold (not e-book) Any help will be highly appreciated.

You create your own and include it in your book normally on second page (the first is the title page)

2. I have multiple files as the manuscript to upload to Lulu to get them collated in one single file. Is this possible? If yes, do I have to follow some guidelines like uploading them in order?
Create each chapter as a file - upload them in any order, but after uploading sort them into the right order.

3. I have an ISBN Code for my book already. How do I use it?
Read this

4. What type of files can I upload for the manuscript? Can I upload in PDF, PPTx or Docx format or is it only a Doc file that is accepted?
You can upload PDFs or native Word .doc (not .docx)

5. Is there anyone who has created lots of books here and can suggest me a size and binding that I need to choose? I am trying to get a paperback book of about 200 pages that can be printed and sold (not e-book) Any help will be highly appreciated.
It depends to some extent on the content.  I suggest that Crown Quarto is fairly popular or 6.13"x9.21" Read this

Re: First time publisher with basic queries

Thanks for the links. I have lot of information now.

Can you please also tell me about the pricing of the books. If a book selling price is $10, how much would I get if 10 books are sold?

Re: First time publisher with basic queries

Thank you again :smileyhappy:

The content are short stories.

I see that you are suggesting 6.13 x 9.21 books and I can get it as Perfect Bound, since my book will be around 200 pages. Where is the Hard Cover option for that? I see only Perfect Bound, Saddle Stitch, PlastiCoil, Dust Jacket, Casewrap.

Crown Quatro is 7.44 x 9.68" (or 18.90 x 24.58 cm)

The Novels that we get in the stores, by Grasim, Sheldon etc are of what size? I guess that would be a bit small for my book and I just want a size larger than that.

I need a black and white book. When I choose the cover, I see that they allow me to add pics and templates. Will the cover be in color, even if I want to create a b/w book?

Thanks for all the support...

By "hardcover" you probably mean Lulu's "casewrap" or "premium casewrap". That has a picture printed onto the cover. If you want an almost blank cover with a separate colour-printed jacket, it's called "dust jacket".

This is what I gather from the list; anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Regarding page sizes, you can look here (click on the binding method tags): http://www.lulu.com/publish/books/?cid=pubpage_books

I just found an even nicer overview here: http://connect.lulu.com/t5/Product-Information/What-paper-will-my-book-have-for-the-cover-and-interi...
