Good afternoon fellow Lulu'ers!
I've got to say, I'm a bit frustrated with my post-self publishing experience. I'm having a helluva time getting people, including friends, to buy my book. I've got three reviews here on Lulu so far, 5/5, so I know that people who actually read it received it well.
My book is also in a brick and mortar store, but I've only sold 2 of the 3 they stocked as a trial.
I've sent e-mails to countless numbers of reviewers, made a video trailer, annoyed everyone on facebook and I've sold... nine.
Is there anything else I should be doing? Does anyone have any tricks to getting their book out there? I'd love to hear any advice as I've been hit with the selling blues.
Thank you so much.

Hi AGrams,
To be honest you are doing better than I am. My advice is to try and get more exposure for your book. Below is a link to sites that review indy books.

Hope this helps ![]()

Don't give up Agrams. Tell the whole world. Think of yourself as having two jobs. You are an author and a salesman. And yoru commission is very high.

Here is a new one that I have come across through kindle direct publishing, I don't know if it will yeild any results.
List your book on shelfari for free when you create a profile.

It's difficult. I have been lucky enough to sell 17 books in 4 days, with consistant facebooking and the use of writing websites such as www.redbubble.com - keep talking to people, keep asking questions. Even on these forums people are going to look at your book...
