Due to recent updates in regional production costs, Lulu will be introducing a new pricing structure for some of our product lines, effective June 27, 2012. Please read on for further details on which products will and will not be affected.
Pricing Structure Product Updates:
- Effective June 27, 2012, all new titles and revised works will be priced at the new pricing structure. Note that changes to metadata, other than the book price, will not be considered a revision.
- All bulk tier discounts in all stores will begin with the purchase of 15 books.
- All print on demand (POD) packages have been analyzed based on regional production costs. For our most popular packages there will be little if any price change.
- There is no change in production costs for titles published before June 27, 2012, if purchased in the currency in which the book was originally priced (i.e. USD, Euro, BPS).*
- The book cost calculator will be updated to provide an accurate estimate of the new print production costs.
- Shipping prices remain unchanged.
- ebooks and Studio projects, such as photo books, cookbooks, poetry books, and calendars, are unaffected by this change.
*Please Note: Regardless of the publication date, the new pricing structure will be applied to effected print books purchased in currencies other than the currency in which the book was originally priced. For example, if you published a book and priced it in Euros prior to June 27, 2012, the price of your book for fans purchasing in Euros will remain unchanged until you publish a new edition; your fans purchasing from the USA store, however, will be charged based on the new pricing structure.
