Creating An Upload To Lulu

To upload a file to Lulu Publishing, does it require a pdf file or are there other ways that it can be done?

You can upload a doc file or an rtf file I believe(not positive on the rtf) and Lulu will convert it to a PDF for you. However, Lulu does not accept docx type files.

Depends on what you need. What form is your document in now? If you post exactly what you need on the Services forum which is further down on the main forum page you may find someone who can do what you need.

Just make sure to post exactly what you need. I mean, do you also need to document formatted with correct margins, fonts, etc? That way, those that do handle that type of thing will know the details. Also, give an idea on what you may be facing in terms of budget.

regardless of what you use the pages have to be the right size to match the page/book size you use on lulu. Cover/s also.

You can submit in a variety of formats, but I would still recommend converting the file to PDF. You can download OpenOffice for this purpose. Just remember to embed all fonts.

Click on (1) lossless compression, and (2) PDF/A-1

to do this.
