ISBN Barcode and spine questions

Hi all,

First book and I'm hoping you can help with a couple issues that I couldn't find answers to when searching.

My isbn/barcode came from myidentifiers. My graphic designer created the covers & spine (in Gimp) based on Lulu specs. When I open the barcode file in Photoshop & try to place on the back cover it is tiny. Not sure what I'm doing wrong there.  No other program will seem to allow me to open the file but PS & Lulu doesn't let me remove the one they place when creating the cover so I'm kind of at a loss on how to proceed.

Do I need to create a single image cover if I want to have a custom spine?

Thanks folks, lots of great info on these forums so hopefully someone can help me with my heart attack lol

[ Edited ]

Save the barcode as a 300 dpi JPEG and drag onto your  cover created in Photoshop. This is the only way to have a custom spine, designed any which way you like.

Re: ISBN Barcode and spine questions

What exactly do you mean? The barcode does not go on the spine but on the backcover, as you say. Are we talking about two problems here? What are you trying to do at the spine?
Somewhere Lulu state barcode size, but I cannot find it.
