Hi,
Ive written a book just for myself and family members, and so just need to print a few off. How long does it take to print off a few books ready for shipping?
Thanks

Unforutnately, there is not a standard answer to that wuestion. The porblem is how many other projects are ahead of yours at the specific printer that gets the order. You would probably be better off contacting live chat to see if they can give you a more definitive answer.

It depends on a number of factors;
Where you are - in most cases that determines the print factory that is used
What format the book is - some book formats, e.g. spiral bound seem to take longer, some formats can be printed only at certain printers
How busy the print factory is
How many copies you want
I am in UK and just ordered 2 copies of a Royal format paperback at 11:40 Friday and got the message they had been despatched at 15:42 today, Monday, the next working day. I find despatch in 1 or 2 days is usual and I don't think its ever taken more than a week between order and receipt.
But, as I say, it depends on where you are etc etc

This help page says to allow the following time frames for printing before shipping:
Print on Demand Books:
They could pring in less time but you should allow the maximum time frame for printing for the factors (length of queue, etc) others have mentioned and then allow for shipping depending on the shipping method you choose.

An update.
The two books were delivered at 10:10 am on Tuesday, that is less than 2 working days since ordering and using the cheapest delivery option.
Fantastic service.

Ditto what Ken said. And I'm glad you still have your Post Office! (They closed mine, 4kms from Sydney CBD.)
