Hi,
I am a UK publisher with 2 paperbacks that have been on Amazon UK and USA for a few years. Despite the currencies being quite steady for the past few year, my Amazon USA book prices have always been noticable higher that the UK price. This seems to affecting sales or causing negative Amazon feedback.
On Amazon UK one book is £11.95 - that currently converts to $19 US - this is the price I set at LULU
On Amazon USA same book is $25 US - that currently converts to £15 - not the price I set at LULU
So - $6 dollars more, and this can affect sales for sure. I think any book over the $19 psychological threshold will stop many people buying
Any answers/solutions/tips are welcome.
Interestingly my electronic sales via distribution - nook,. ibookstore are now outstripping paperback sales.
Me thinks it is time to go for Kindle - scrap paperbacks - and improve/update book/s while I am at it.
Is this the end of paperbacks???
Thanks in advance for feedback
