url for spotlight page

lHi,

Just making  my spotlight page and it calls me 'barbara_dutcheratyahoodotcom' - and that is part of thebig long url they say is easily remembered! That is my log-in apparently - why does Lulu think that's my name??

Anybody know how I can change that?

Hi barbaradutcher,

The URL for your Author Spotlight page uses your username (though the name displayed at the top is likely your account name). You can change both of these by clicking My Lulu > My Account. Your spotlight URL will use whatever you have entered into the "Username" field. The heading on the author spotlight page itself might be using what you have entered into the "Name" field. You can edit both Username/Name from this page.

Thanks but I am getting this error message when I try to change my user name:

Your username should be made up of letters and numbers with no special characters.

It does not let me use just my first and last name. What should I do about that?

Are you using any special characters, like an _ or -? Try your first and last name as one word, no spaces. You might need to shorten it, change the capitalization, or try some kind of abbreviation. If someone with a similar name has already picked the same username, you might not be able to use it.

I think because the user name generates the url, no spaces are allowed. I'm happier with the url now!
