Hi guys - it's my first post so please be gentle!
I published a lighthearted history book called The American Presidents Without The Boring Bits on 9th Oct of last year.
Because I wasn't sure that there would be much of a market on this side of the pond, I just did the free 'ExtendedReach' package to get the book on amazon.com. I figured that I could pay my £47 later if I wanted to upgrade to 'GlobalReach' and be able to sell it in the UK through amazon.co.uk, get people to order it through Waterstones, etc.
So it turns out that you can't do that - once you've got ExtendedReach, you can't upgrade to GlobalReach. Bummer.
It didn't really matter to me though, because I wanted to make some minor revisions to the book anyway (change a font on the cover, and a couple of tiny tweeks to the text). So this morning I retired the 9th Oct edition of the book and uploaded the new version. I got a new ISBN number and bought the GlobalReach distribution for it. I've ordered a copy of the book and as soon as I've approved it, it should start to be available on amazon.co.uk and all the usual places. Here's the link for the new (3rd Jan) edition:

It is still on amazon.com though - however, I expect that it'll take a long while before amazon.com lists the 9th Oct edition as 'out of print' or removes it entirely. Here's what's REALLY odd though: by accident, I did a search on amazon.co.uk (instead of .com), and the 9th Oct edition of my book is listed there! It's even got a 10% discount!

Has anyone else had this happen? Does ExtendedReach now apply to the international amazons as well? I thought only GlobalReach was supposed to do that??
Just wondered if any of you also have a book on ExtendedReach and found that it's suddenly available on amazon.co.uk?
Kind Regards
Andy.
