Service Project for Alzheimer's patients

I would like to help Alzheimer's patients feel more comfortable and proud of themselves by being published. By this, I mean to help patients at a hospital publish a poem each in a small book. I was also considering a similar project about 'getting over it', a compilation of poems written by people who have overcome great obstacles for others, like drug addiction, obesity, diabetes, parental divorce, etc. Does anyone know how I could possibly earn funds for a project like this? Are there publishing companies that could help me get started? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Service Project for Alzheimer's patients

You write the books.

You upload them to Lulu.

You set the price.

You get the funds.

You do what you need to do with the money.

Lulu is all about YOU.

Re: Service Project for Alzheimer's patients

Create a text file (.docx or something (Lulu will actually provide a sample you can play with in fact)) you can create a project with via the creation Wizards, and just give it a go to see how it all works. There are lost of Help links within the Wizards (left click on them though and click Open in new tab/window because if you dont it may shut the wizard!) Set it at Private then only you can see it, and once you get the hang of it just delete it.
You do need to read as much of the Help as you can, especially the project type descriptions, because you will have to create text files and page sizes, number of pages, etc etc, plus the 'right' fonts that match that project's exact needs.
Good luck!
