Re: Question about interior "colors"

[ Edited ]

forget it. Some times when someone says B&W they mean basically line work...

a wind up?

alos, cool gray can and does have color in it depending on the shades... i know basic grey is black and white mixed... nevermind i can't explain it.

Re: Question about interior "colors"

the biggest problem is there are three scales of grey ... Most grey pigments have a cool or warm cast to them, as the human eye can detect even a minute amount of saturation.[citation needed] Yellow, orange, and red create a "warm grey". Green, blue, and violet create a "cool grey".[4] When there is no cast at all, it is referred to as "neutral grey", "achromatic grey" or simply "grey"

SO basically Lulu can print in base grey and cool gray because my first book was cool grey.

Re: Question about interior "colors"

A laser can print whatever you want.
And yes, I know what it says on there, but as I said, once other colours are added to grey they are no longer grey, but shades of the colours.
I used to be a colour mixer and, for example, there were around 30 shades of white because they did look white! but because they had elements of other substances in them, they were really not white. Arctic White was actually very very very light blue, not white.
Renault White was actually very very light green., so again useless if you really wanted white.
People actually see slighty different colours, but you can often see the very off-shades by squinting. :-)

It's shades of grey, which can be made up with black mixed with white, or digitally, by ramping up the brightness ...   :smileyhappy:

Re: Question about interior "colors"

Melanie, shades of grey in RGB are still colour. One must change the Mode from RGB to Greyscale.
