I think I've only ever had this happen once before, but I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this for me.
I have the funds needed to purchase the books I need already in my PayPal account, and have it set up to automatically come up to pay with PayPal, so I was really puzzled when I used the coupon code for today (BIG) and then clicked the PLACE ORDER button after the total was updated minus the sale percent amount and and suddenly, not transferred to PayPal to log in to pay, but instead got a message of, "Your shopping cart is empty," when it wasn't empty, didn't allow me to pay and when checking my order status, I'm showing a message of Awaiting Funds.
Not possible. The funds are there...had I been allowed to log in to PayPal when I placed the order.
This might just be a glitch or a hang up and my question is probably easily answered, but of course chat isn't available (or I should say, it's available, but the hold time is more than three minutes, so I get the eternal "Connecting you" bar) and so I'm stuck now wonderfing...are my books ordered or not?
In my six years with Lulu, I think this has honestly only happened one other time, a couple of years ago and then it wasn't a big deal because the books were for me. This order is for my writing partner.
Any ideas???

Was afraid of that. ![]()
I haven't had the best of luck with people actually taking care of/resolving problems via e-mail, but if that is my only option...
Doing so right now...Thanks for the help...

Hi, Ken and thanks.
I submitted a ticket, but as I said, have not had the best of luck in getting things solved by e-mail, (normally takes way too long with people who don't seem to know what they're supposed to do) so I'll wait to hear back and see what support says.
I know the last time I had something like this happen, I was able to speak to chat and they cancelled the order.
I re-placed it and it was fine.
Took maybe five minutes, tops.
This time I expect a lot longer wait and for me, I'd be okay with that, but being as this is not my money I'm messing with (it's my writing partner's money and people can get really bent out of shape when it comes to dollars) so in this instance, it's not okay to just sit and wait for someone to decide to get back to me.
But...it's done and my only option now is to hope my writing partner won't be too upset.

Cary P...if you are the same Cary P that expedited the correction of the glitch, then I thank you, profusely and have left appropriate feedback..
THANK YOU! (yes, yelling because I'm that happy!)

I had the same problem a few weeks ago but Lulu quickly sorted it out and you will not lose the discount.

Actually, James...I did lose the discount (I got a message that I'd already used the offer - well, duh...being as I'd already placed it, once) but, that's okay.
I'm just elated that the problem was sorted out so quickly. I certainly was not going to press my luck by asking for the refund too.
No biggie...sucks, yeah...but no biggie.

Try using a different computer. Or log out turn your internet connection off for about 2 minutes then turn it back on and try again. I've had this same problem and usually it's just a glitch. You might want to try not ordering it from your account if you're logged in on lulu.

Customer service here is a nightmare. I are" waiting for my funds to clear" which is bs. My credit card account is in excellent standing so its all about Lulu getting their act together. 2 emails to customer service and no word. There is no phone number which pisses me off greatly. I would never come back here or recommend this lousy site to anyone.
Just used the old credit card five minutes again in an online purchase so its not me, or my bank, or my account details.
When you find out what's going on, do tell.
