I'm confused about pricing!

I'm a newbie and just uploaded my new e-book.  I set the retail price for $9.99 but when I click on "add to cart" just to see what happens, it charges only $1.24.  I thought that it would come up in the cart as $9.99, then after lulu takes its cut, I would get the remainder.  Am I missing something??

This is your price to buy the book. I know as i just bought my own book then logged out and searched for my book and added it to my cart and it showed the price i am selling the book for.

If you have priced your book at $9.99, that is the price Lulu charge for the book.
