How do IMAGES look on standard paper?

I was wondering if anyone might show me a link to their book or something so I can see the quality of images that are printed in books that use the lulu standard paper? Black and white or color images, ether way, I'd just like to see the quality please.

Hmm...Lulu decreases the resolution in previews, but you can flip through these: www.lulu.com/a_p

But it will not show you the actual printing quality. I told you in the last post that I used standard paper and it is superb. (If you live nearby I can show you.) Otherwise, you'll just have to order a proof and see for yourself.

Make your images with the highest resolution that is sensible. I often illustrate my books with three or four drawings, and I make them at 600 dpi, position them in Word 2007, make a pdf with NO COMPRESSION of any sort, and end up with files that are 10s of megabites. They upload on broadband in around 3 or 4 minutes. I once made a file at 70mb, and the images were superb. I also upload cover art at 600 dpi, and I reckon I can tell that they are better than 300 dpi. So can other people I have tested actual printed covers on. I have no idea how that is possible, as the Lulu information says that images are all processed at 300 dpi.

of course, the only real way to see what they look like is to create the book and order a proof.
