Hitting the highlights on Amazon!

I've just checked out my sales rank on Amazon for the Kindle version of my book....

After only 3 weeks on sale it's at #2 in it's category on the best seller's list!

Working on it Ken! Just had an order for 8 copies from my County library service too.

Sharing any hints? I'm sure it's a great book, but how did you get it so widely known? Congratulations by the way.

Re: Hitting the highlights on Amazon!

Hi Johanna,

In my life away from Lulu I'm an Internet Safety trainer and I also run a scam awareness website that has a considerable weekly readership, so I've been heavily promoting the book to my audience since well before the launch.

I've also been lucky enough for a high-profile women's blog to have published a review on launch day, with several other reviews appearing on other blogs since.

The library order came from me popping in to my local library and having a coffee with the buyer, who took the book to a County wide buying meeting. Right place, right time I guess.

Tips? Promote, promote and then, when you've had enough, promote some more!

Re: Hitting the highlights on Amazon!

Thanks very much for sharing your tips. I'm promoting heavily at the moment, had some great reviews in my trade journals, have a popular blog, speak at conferences and events and I'm selling some but 'hot cakes' is not the phrase. I find the best sales are immediately after a talk, but some organisers don't like you to sell there.

I'm selling to teachers and schools and I guess money's tight right now.
