Do I have to pay royalties when I buy my own book?

If I publish a book on Lulu and set a markup (royalty) of, say, one UK Pound per copy, I realise that Lulu will retain 20% on each book sold.  That's fine.

But what happens when I want to bulk-buy copies of my own book (i.e. to sell locally).  Will I end up paying the royalty on each copy I purchse - or will the Lulu "checkout" process realise that I am the author and therefore only charge me at cost?

No, you pay just the cost price.
