For the interior of a 7.5 X 7.5 32-page picture book, I would like to include approximately 15
full page watercolor illustrations. Should the artist create the illustrations in 7.5 X 7.5 dimensions?
How do I submit the artwork to Lulu? Scan and upload? Send DVD?
Thanks for your help,
Dunnie

Hello there, to do this you will need to upload a single PDF, containing all the book's content, with each image within it saved to full bleed, this is achieved by simply adding 0.25 inches to the width and the height, so each 7.5 x 7.5 image file needs to be 7.75 by 7.75. Also, the PDF itself needs to be saved to 7.75 x 7.75, do not use the internal options in the PDF creator to add bleed settings, they do not work well on Lulu / at the printers, just saving the file to the bigger size is all that's needed. Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me so promptly about the dimensions of the full color art work.
I will pass this along to the artist.
Cheers,

Hey guys! I resized my interior pages to 8.75 x 8.75 to allow for the full-bleed (for an 8.5 x 8.5 book), but the proof came back with a .125 white space at the top of all the pages. What can I do now to re-format these pages so that they print correctly? Do I need to add an extra .25" to the top/bottom of my pages (8.75 x 9)? Thanks for the help!
