Accepted?

If a pdf is sent to Lulu does the absence of any correction comments from them mean its layout has been approveds?

Re: Accepted?

This is self publishing.

Lulu print what you upload. They do not review your text for spelling or formatting. As long as you meet the few rules about page sizes etc you won't hear from them.

You are responsible for editing/formatting/design etc.

Re: Accepted?

Thanks Peter, I understand that. But my point concerns number of pages, blanks etc as I see that some forum people have have rejections due to technical printing matters - not divisible by 4, that sort of thing. Sorry I didn't make it clear.

Re: Accepted?

Marc,

Lulu will only vet and approve PDFs for hard copy books if you plan to use ExtendedReach or GlobalReach distribution.

Their vetting checks you have met their Dstribution guidelines, no more, no less.

You may be better asking one of the regulars here to cast an eye over it for you.

If you've applied for distribution you need to meet the distribution requirements, here http://connect.lulu.com/t5/ISBN-Distribution/Mandatory-Requirements-for-Print-Books-with-Distributio...

If you book page count is divisible by four the last page must be completely blank

If it is not divisible by four they'll add sufficient blank pages to the end.

If you don't want distribution then all you have to do is make your book the right height and width

this is a user-to-user forum

If you uploaded a book to Lulu you will not hear anything. Your book will be viewable on your 'My Projects' page.

The only time you'll hear from Lulu if something is wrong with your book is after you approve your book for distibution.

I wonder why the forums have specific areas and the New posting option?

Re: Accepted?

Hi,

I uploaded my book to Lulu as PDF document several weeks ago. I have not receive any  reaction from you. When I checked my files it was not clear to me if you received it, or rather whether I did it correctly. Please  let me know if I should send it again as  a PDF or as a document for you to convert it to PDF.

Thank you for  your  help.
