The net profit from the sale of a project is split 80/20 between the Creator and Lulu. The net profit of a sale is found after subtracting the manufacturing cost from the total price.
Example:
If the net profit for an item is $5.00, the Creator Revenue is $4.00 (80%) and Lulu's Commission is $1.00 (20%).
| Total Price | » | 13.50 |
| Manufacturing Cost | » | - 8.50 |
| Net Profit | » | 5.00 |
| Lulu Commission 20% | » | - 1.00 |
| Creator Revenue 80% | » | 4.00 |
If the Creator is a member of a publishing program, the agreed on percentage is also subtracted.
Example:
If the net profit for an item is $5.00, the Creator Revenue is $3.00 (60%), the Publishing Program's Commission is $1.00 (20%), and Lulu's Commission is $1.00 (20%).
| Total Price | » | 13.50 |
| Manufacturing Cost | » | - 8.50 |
| Net Profit | » | 5.00 |
| Lulu Commission 20% | » | - 1.00 |
| Program Commission 20% | » | - 1.00 |
| Creator Revenue 80% | » | 3.00 |
