ISBN and custom two piece cover

Hello,

I've just uploaded the final version of my book and ordered the Extend Reach package, so that it will go up on Amazon. I have an ISBN and I put that on my copyright page, and reloaded the new file. Now I'm not sure what to do about the cover.

My graphic artist made me a two-piece cover. She says that Lulu will put the bar code on. But the instructions I received from Lulu said I had to put the barcode on. Yet the FAQ says Lulu will put the barcode on for a two-piece cover.

Can someone please clarify? I want to make sure that everything is right before I order yet another copy of the book.

If you've selected "sell on Lulu Marketplace and other online retailers" right at the start of the publishing wizard (and the 3rd step of the wizard is where the ISBN is allocated/entered), Lulu should put an ISBN barcode on the back cover for you if you're using a 2 piece cover. Lulu does give you the option to put the barcode on yourself and will give you the barcode at step 3 of the wizard in the event that you're using a 1 piece cover.

You are able to download and save the PDF of the full cover created by the Lulu converter from your front and back pieces and the way to make sure that the barcode is on is to download the PDF of the full cover and open it in Adobe Reader (after saving to somewhere on your computer where you'll remember where to find it).
