Cover missing on product page / preview

The missing cover on the product page and preview is a bug. Engineering are sorting it out at the moment. I have been told that a fix is scheduled to go live on the site next week. I will post more when I have the info, but I don't usually hear about it until after the fix is live.

This has been discussed in approximately 10 threads, and while I understand this is a serious issue it is better if we keep the conversation and information in one central location.

Does this mean if we submit an order the correct cover will be printed even though we cannot see it?

Yes, Lorraine. The cover is still in tact and will appear with the printed order.

Hello,
The preview bug with the missing cover has been fixed. To see this change you must create a new preview. Your cover will appear after you have done so.

And how am I supposed to do that? My cover image has been missing for about a month. I contacted live help at least 3 times. No one notified me that the bug was fixed. I never set up the Buy page cover preview, so I don't know what to do.
Please help.

Barbara,

To reset your preview so the cover shows on the product page, do the following:

1) Click on the title on your MY LULU Page

2) Scroll down to the Preview section of the revise project page and click on the Edit button (you can also get to this by clicking on the Customize Preview link when viewing your preview page)

3) For a simple preview that will show the book cover and the first 10 pages of text, leave the simple option button selected and click the Save & Continue option. You can also choose one of the other options if you desire

4) Once the preview generation completes, click the Save & Finish button

5) Preview should now include the cover.

ahhh, that did it. I had gone in and scrolled down to cover preview and was trying to fix it from there. I don't know if I misread the info in the FAQ, but doesn't matter. Cover is back up.

I think the preview bug is back. I noticed a comment about refreshing the PREVIEW option. I did that twice and no resolve so far. I will go try it again.

I did notice though, that your comment said even though the preview will not show, the correct cover is used ??? So does that mean the "My Files" area that highlights with the little PLUS sign, identifies that pdf is being used ?

How do I then delete all the other revision copies from my Folder ?

Nope, did not work to refresh the preview. I tried small, large, 10 page, 15 page. No luck...

Please help me, I feel so alone and a drift out here and its cold ... :wink:

Which project are you having difficulty with? Your project here http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/norma-jeans-sun/6706568 looks fine. Is it a different project?
