Adding ISBN to a one-piece-cover [ Edited ]

Hello,

I have just finsished my one piece cover for a US letter size paperback book. I was asigned a ISBN by Lulu and downloaded the ISBN .pdf file on my computer. Now my question is, how do I add the ISBN / bar code to my one-piece-cover?

Can I just make a image capture of the ISBN and place it on my cover, like copy and paste? Or is there a required size for it?

I am sure the ISBN is provided as a .jpg and not a PDF, so that you can just add it to your cover.

The ISBN is actually available as a .png (as well as PDF).

The problem I see is that the .png image for my ISBN is 2,150 pixels wide  (my one-piece-cover is 5,364 pixels wide). So, I'm going to have to scale down and resize the ISBN image in order to fit in my cover. My question is: Can I resize the ISBN image to any size I want, or are there any size requirements I should follow?

Open in Adobe Photoshop, Flatten, Resize.

I dont have photoshop. I use another software, but the problem is that when I resize the bar code in order to fit into the 5364-pixel wide cover, it loses sharpness
