I have about completed the proof reading of my book Creaky Bones. I have a couple of questions.
1 When I do the final upload can I get the cover on the Lulu site and where and how are the ISBN and Lulu bits put (inside cover?) Just wondering. I have 26 pages plus two blank and with the cover the blank should not appear.
2 When the book is in the store is there a special price for the author? It would be too much to expect them free. With the Lulu site being in the USA and me in the UK it would be easier to have a few copies put by for local sales.
Another question about the inside and the copyright page. what exactly should go on it? Doi I mention Lulu?
Also having problems with the numbering. The A5 template also numbers the pages before the start which I dont want. As mine is a book of poetry are there different guidelines? I did upload it again thought I might be able to edit again went through all the stages. Had to retire the project because I dont know if the ISBN was created although I kept it private. I had selected a cover but I was looking for something associated with the title Creaky Bones It is no problem to change the title if I see an alternative picture.
Thanks for the help. Hoping to see the person who is checking for errors etc in the next few days and be given the go ahead to publish.

Lulu puts nothing inside.

The books are printed in the UK

Look at any UK commercially printed book for the wording
Doi I mention Lulu?
No

Create a new section for the front. Don't link the sections for page numbering

Eh? ISBN choice is offered at the very start so you would know

If you want a Lulu ISBN it will tell you what it is in the Wizard, and you add that number to your Copyright page in your pages file, before you upload it. The ISBN barcode will be added to your back cover in the Cover Wizard, where you can also create a cover.
2 When the book is in the store is there a special price for the author? It would be too much to expect them free. With the Lulu site being in the USA and me in the UK it would be easier to have a few copies put by for local sales.
You can order them at cost, as you will find out when your order your Proof, which you will have to do. The internet is everywhere, and that means Lulu's site is, (and can be set for many countries anyway, see far below) and so is Amazon that the even the free Lulu ISBN will put you on to. So 'local' does not really enter in to it. Books also, in theory, are printed as close to the order address as possible.

No need to mention Lulu. Take a look at just what is inside a book, you cannot get any better guide than that.

There is actually a dedicated poetybook Wizard on Lulu. http://www.lulu.com/publish/poetry_books/?cid=nav_
But I do not think you can have an ISBN for those.
Few use the templates for files put into the normal book Wizards anyway, for reasons you have discovered.

If you can have an ISBN you will get that option, but it has to be set at General. Make sure your are very happy with your book before you take it off Private.

Just 26 pages is going to limit you greatly on creating a book here.

I kept the book private for revising later on and did not see the ISBN option. I will do what you suggested with the numbering. I do not have much copyright stuff to put on. I will try again. So I would upload the main content first as a seperate file?

thanks may have to start again. I have it in two files to avoid the numbering problem. I would rather not have numbers as it is only 28 pages.
