Like the sound of your book, and the picture looks beautiful - If you were there, I am so jealous!!!
That is awesome that you have been in the movie industry and have had the chance to go to NZ. I want to go there to simply visit the "Rohan" country from LOTR ![]()
If you like your sci-fi, and you now live in britain, then you may want to pop along to the Melksham Comic-Con hosted by Komix - it is a little rural town in Wiltshire ![]()
Heres the link: http://www.melkshamcomiccon.co.uk/
It has guests like Paul Cornell (Dr.Who script writer) and a host of other movie people coming along ![]()
EDIT: Forgot to mention - I will be there selling my books and doing a book signing! lol

Congratulations. You might want to have an editor look over your work. Many sentences seem a bit disjointed.

Striking cover image
Apart from disjointed sentences* the book shows hallmarks of a self-pubbed book that have been mentioned countless times here...
- justify text
- curly/smart apostrophes and quotes
- no page numbers on title page - actually the first page is the only page that is not part of the story and here it does everything, but doesn't contain the ISBN (as required for distribution) . Have a look at a commercially published novel and see how they have a separate title page and copyright page.
The book is not copyrighted by Lulu.
The 'license' statement at the front is ridiculous. According to you I can't lend the book to my partner or donate it to the local charity shop.
*read the first sentence, and the last sentence on page8-9 makes no sense.

Well...just taking it page by page as I go...
I have real qualms about your cover, which not only seems irrelevant, but amateurish with the pasted-on digital cartoon.
Is that the title page of your book? Or the copyright page? It it's the title page, you have too much information on it. (And, by the way, all of those warnings about not sharing the book are ridiculous. I suppose you don't want any libraries to purchase copies?)
The copyright belongs to you alone: it's not shared with Lulu.
Looking at the first couple of pages of text I have only one suggestion: you really need to get someone to objectively edit your book for you. There are just way too many problems in punctuation, grammar and sense. I honestly didn't want to read any further.
