Hi,
Newbie here, and I just published a book and was notified that I would have to buy a copy and approve it before it will be acceptable for wide distribution. I opted for regular mail so, it says that it will arrive 5-15 days after printing, but did not specify how long printing takes. Does anyone know based on their experiences here?
Thanks in advance.
Irene

I've never waited longer than a week for my books (paperback), but usually less.
I once ordered on a Tuesday morning and received them on Thursday morning (using the cheapest shipping option)
It depends upon the workload at the time of order, the quantity of books you order and your location.

It does. See http://connect.lulu.com/t5/Shipping/How-long-until
Have you tailored your preview to remove the title pages? I couldn't see a copyright/ISBN page as required for distribution.

Thanks, everyone ![]()
@ Peter, I do see my copyright and ISBN number at the bottom of the page; do you think I would have to approve the distribution before anyone else could see it?

Which page? It is not shown on your preview.
Your copyright page should be one of the front pages of your book.
As the bare minimum
-first page - title and author
-second page copyright/ISBN
see any commercially published novel for how they do it
and see Lulu's requirements

Please do not approve distribution before you ensure you conform to the mandatory requirments as your book will be rejected, you'll have to re-format it and buy another proof.
If you're going to have to make changes in your book you might like to justify the text, use serif font, use single line spacing, remove blank lines between paragraphs, put dialogue on new lines.........Again, see how the professionals do it.
Plenty of space, so why abbreviate the word 'chapter'?
Also, there's an extra 'and' in the last sentence of your first paragraph. And in your second para the apostrophe should be after the 's' in Farmers' Market
Suggest you read your book out loud as to pick up repetitions like two 'could's and two 'there's in the second sentence, and things like the redundant 'the' in the third sentence and missing word(s) in the first sentence third paragraph..

Thanks, Peter; I'll work on that asap then.
