Hi,
I have four books listed on lulu, each of which have an ISBN. I would like these to be on Amazon market place too, but they can't because of the ISBN. Therefore, can I create an alternative version without an ISBN, and have both listed simultaneously on Lulu? The ISBN one can be on general distribution so it shows up on Lulu searches, the non ISBN one can be on private link, so Amazon can find it (if it needs a link) but it won't show up on Lulu searches. That way both would not show up at once and look like a duplication.
If this is not permitted, can I remove the ISBN from my existing books? It does not seem to be doing me any favours. Or are there any other solutions. I don't want to add the retail markup and have it on Amazon proper.
Thanks in advance.

Why do you think that your books can not be on Amazon with the ISBN they can. If you have purchased a distribution package for your books then they will appear on Amazon and other online book stores. So there is no need to create a copy of each of your books without the ISBN, but you can if you wish, though why you would I don't have a clue over.

As per my original post - "I would like these to be on Amazon market place" (ie. not on Amazon proper). LuLu will *not* do that for you if the book has an ISBN. Also "I don't want to add the retail markup and have it on Amazon proper". Amazon market place does not require a retail mark up, or the weeks of approvals.

Sorry but I think you could be wrong there. All of my books are available from Amazon Marketplace with ISBN as well as on Amazon.com and all other national Amazons. How did I manage that with Lulu? I got a distribution package from Lulu. Gob bless.

Well the comparison table on this page:
http://www.lulu.com/services/distribution
shows Market Reach as being the only distribution package that includes Amazon Market Place.
While this page:
http://www.lulu.com/services/distribution/marketre
Explicitly states that only books without an ISBN are eligible.
Maybe I am missing something?

Well you caqn check out my last book Bublos by Billy Young, which has the Global Reach package. I also have three other books all publish through Lulu, A Winter Journey, Banshee Angel of Judgement and Teddy the Bear. Only Bublos was Global Reach, the others were through other packages that were the same as Global Reach but those were replace witrh, you guessed GR. I think what they are talking about with Market Place is that Lulu sells your book through Amazon Marketplace. That is unless they have changed GR from last year, maybe a Lulu staff member could tell us if this is so.

...but I'm talking about Market Reach, not Global Reach.
