Lulu Release 16.2

Subject: 16.2 Release Notes

The 16.2 release dropped in production at 6 AM Eastern time on Wednesday 11/8.

Here are the highlights:

1. New forum search:

We've implemented a completely new forum search process that should speed up searches and provide more relevant results.

2. NaNoWriMo 2006:

Updated site to support user registrations for this year. Will be available at: http://www.lulu.com/nanowrimo/index.php

For more information about the event, see: http://www.nanowrimo.org/

Hot fixes (released to production after 16.1 but before 16.2):

3. calc_stats failed during execution on 11/2 and 11/3.

4. Cover Wizard: Spine font color changes for older projects are not preserved during revise.

Bug fixes:

5. Links from pub wizard to services are broken.

6. Links to services broken on site map.

7. Update book cost calculator with 8.5 square.

8. Distribution retail price being calculated using wrong price per page value.

9. Many calendar project types incorrectly defined as DVDs.

10. JavaScript gettext does not work for "Hide print sizes" buttons.

11. Calendars: Enable languages other than the site translated options.

12. Photobooks: Removal of images from the image basket can cause application to fail.

13. Internationalization of Calendars.

14. Photobook categories too confusing for users. All photobook projects will now default to "Arts & Photography", though authors can still change their photobook category if they wish.

15. Eliminate bug requiring downloading print-ready photobook PDF before finishing.

Re: Lulu Release 16.2

I want to report a problem with the demo screens as a non memeber browsing your web site, and there is no way to do that.

I went to this page
http://www.lulu.com/help/

Clicked on Report a problem with the site

http://www.lulu.com/support/report_to_forums.php

This page does not get one to the contact support to report problems about the site.

All it says is ... appropriate Support Forum
Where is that?

I went into Site Map
http://www.lulu.com/about/sitemap.php

On this page under Help there is Contact Support

http://www.lulu.com/support/

Here there is Technical problems with the site

Now I am back at the
http://www.lulu.com/support/report_to_forums.php

I had to sign up in order to help you with your web site.
Problem, beside the trying to report it is.

In the Take a Tour of Lulu video there are several options at the end one should be able to select after viewing the demo, but they do not work properly. These need to be fixed so the general public will trust your site.

One more thing... There should be a simple CONTACT US link the general public can access to send e-mail to you, otherwise you will loose the person before they even sign up.
Thank you.
