Hello!

My daughter passed away 19 months ago. She loved to write for fun. I've been blessed to have access to all her stories and read them for comfort and healing. I'd really love to put her work into a bound book and create as gifts for my family. It's something my daughter and I had always talked about, but didn't happen.

This program looks very simple to upload and create a book/cover, but how do I create for just personal use and not to publish for sale?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Start a Project. Make it Private. You will get the option to make it just for you.

I am deeply sorry about your daughter's death. So sad. My father passed away two days ago. Your pain must be 1000 times worse.

Anyway, make her come to life again in books. They are eternal.

Maggie's advice here is excellent. Prepare the inside of the book as you want it to appear on the pages. Create a cover that expresses the content. Then go through the wizard and create the book. If you have questions, people here are always glad to help.

Thank you so much for the response and suggestion - you are so right. Creating her memories and bringing her writings to life will be such a great honor as her mother and tribute to Kayla.

My prayers and hugs go out to you, Maggie. Losing a family member is difficult. I lost my father in a tragic accident in 1999. The one thing I've learned from both losses is to share your feelings and memories, it truly helps to process your feelings and grief so that you may one day be able to smile.

    MomtoanAngel,

Thank you so much for your words. Every kind word helps. I am telling everyone I see hoping it will ease the pain. And it does.

My brother brought me my father's watch from New York. It was close to his skin and I will cherish it.

As for you, you are lucky; you have your daughter's magical words. Spread them far and wide. Make them public if you can, and if they are suitable. Make her presence eternal.

I am sorry about the loss of your father.
