Help with formatting ebook

wobbawobba Reader
I have had all my books just on Amazon all uploaded fine. I'm not great with formatting! I use word and checked my original files the TOC and the Chapter headings were all in 'normal' I was being rejected for having no table of contents. Now I have clicked on each chapter in the content section and changed it to Header 1. I have also clicked on each individual Chapter changeing the style to Header 1. Now its telling me I have too many chapters even though I can save and continue. I can see from the two lists that its listing the content table as the pages numbers are there, then its also listing my Chapter headings so what now? Do I just need to change the Table of Contents using Header 1 and leave my chapters as per normal???? It all loaded perfectly fine on Amazon as it was! Thanks for any help.

Just ignore the notification. It says it even if the book is perfect. It is non-blocking.

I am sure that you are aware Wobba that the creation of a TOC is not the same  for Lulu as it is for uploading to Amazon. You cannot use the same file.

Thank you for your comments. It eventually became trial and error and then bingo! I simply changed the Chapters from normal to heading one and the title. There was no need to alter my original TOC. Things always sound a lot more complicated than what they are. Lesson learned not to alter the TOC headings as it published with two lists of chapters, doh ;) thanks for repdlying.

Word files for an ePub are surprisingly simple to create, unless one starts to include images.
