We're aware of an issue with converting some DOC, DOCX, ODT, and RTF files to EPUB through our Ebook Wizard.

At this time, we're investigating the problem and looking for a solution.

If you've encountered this issue while converting your file, we suggest attempting to create and upload an EPUB directly to our system.

While there are a number of EPUB conversion options, Calibre (Download Here) has shown the best results for creating an EPUB for the Lulu system. Please review their extensive Help resources (Found Here) to create an EPUB 2 that our system can validate.

displaying multiple author names instead of et. al.

Hello,
I finished a project this morning, which had 3 authors attached to it, but Lulu is only displaying the first and adding the Latin "et. al." in the place of the other 2. Does anyone know if this is something that can be changed? And, on a related note, does this mean that when the title is uploaded to Amazon, that Amazon will only display 1 author instead of all 3?
Thanks.

  • All three of the authors will be associated with the books metadata (so long as you entered them each during the Title Step). The "et al" shows on our store pages when three or more authors are present and it exceeds a certain character count. No matter what we display on that page, it will be the actual metadata that defines for retailers who the author(s) are for any particular book.

    Thank you, Paul.
