Unwanted White Border Around PDF

Part of my book has text written on colored pages. These pages were developed in Word by inserting shapes and filling with color. There are also two pages which have text over images (jpg maybe).

In the interior file preview, there is a thin white border around each (non-white) page. Do I need to change my PDF or does this not matter?

It looks ok in Adobe Reader and other software like iSkysoft PDF editor.

Appreciate your response. Thanks very much.

    It matters.

If you have even one image that should reach the edge of the page then you must make your book full bleed. This means you have to make the word document .25 bigger, width and height. You also have to make your PDF bigger by .25 of an inch.
